What are check-in and check-out times?
You may check-in to your Lodge room beginning at 3:00pm and into your cabin at 4:30pm. Check-out time for Lodge rooms is 12 noon; check-out time for cabins is 10:00AM.

Columbus, OH is the nearest major city/airport. Driving time is approximately 42 minutes (32 miles). View our directions page for more information.

Are the park and lodge open year-round?
Both the park and lodge are open every day of the year; however, some areas like golf course, beach and outdoor pool are open seasonally. Peak season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
What kind of weather should I expect?
Winter days are chilly with temperatures ranging from 15° to 30°F. Evenings are much colder, staying in the single digits and teens, but rarely ever dropping below 0°F.
The early spring months are similar to winter, with the same likelihood of storms. The late spring temperatures rise to the 70s during the day and evening temperatures drop to approximately 30° to 45°F. We recommend you pack warmly for both seasons, although lighter gear will suffice for late spring.
The summer months bring long hot days averaging 85°F, which is ideal weather to experience the many activities at Deer Creek. Enjoy a summer evening stroll through the park or swimming under the stars, with night temperatures in the 60s.
Fall brings a burst of brilliant color and the early months are comfortably crisp, with daytime temperatures ranging from 60° to 70°F and evenings in the 50s.
Is there cell phone service?
Cell phone service is available for most providers; however, we can’t guarantee the signal strength.
Is there a business center?
Besides offering ample meeting space, we also provide a business center with high-speed Internet and e-mail services, along with package shipping, copy and facsimile services.
Can Deer Creek accommodate large groups?
Deer Creek Conference Center is a natural choice for group gatherings of any kind. The beauty of Deer Creek, with ample space for everything from small meetings to full-scale conferences, makes it perfect for group experiences. Our staff is experienced and available to assist you in planning an extraordinary day.
Are there ADA compliant rooms available at Deer Creek?
Deer Creek Lodge offers 8 accessible lodge rooms (all with roll-in showers) and 3 accessible cabins.
Is there an entrance fee to enter the park?
There is no fee to enter Deer Creek State Park.
How far in advance can I make lodging reservations?
We offer reservations up to 12 months in advance of arrival.
Do you have a waitlist for room reservations?
We do not offer a waitlist for reservations.
Since you don’t have a waitlist, should I check back every day for a cancellation?
Cancellations do occur; however, they can occur at random and you may have limited success in obtaining the dates and accommodations desired. If your first choice is not available, rather than scheduling your vacation around the possibility of a cancellation, we suggest checking alternate dates instead. If you want to continue to check for cancellations, you may do so by visiting our online reservations system.
Why can’t I find my reservation through the website reservation system?
Currently our online reservation system will only allow modifications or cancellations to reservations initially booked on our website.
Can I cook in my room?
Cooking is not allowed in our guestrooms; however, we do allow cooking in our cabins, which come with fully equipped kitchens.
Do you offer wireless Internet access?
We do offer high-speed wireless Internet.
Can I have a pet in my room?
Deer Creek Lodge has a limited number of cabins that are designated “pet friendly.” If you plan on bringing your pet, please advise the reservation agent when making your reservation at 1-800-282-7275 prior to your arrival so that they can make arrangements for you. Pets are not permitted in any lodge rooms or any cabins not designated as “pet friendly.” All assistance dogs for visually or hearing impaired or orthopedically challenged individuals are permitted in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991.
Do I need dining room reservations?
Reservations are not required, but are always appreciated.
